This type of alopecia is the most common cause of hair loss in men. It is a hereditary and hormonally-driven condition that gradually affects hair follicles, leading to their miniaturization and eventual hair loss.

In men suffering from androgenetic alopecia, the cause usually lies in increased activity of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme or in heightened sensitivity of hair follicles to androgen hormones, particularly in genetically predisposed areas.

In addition to androgens, other hormones such as those from the thyroid gland, cortisol, and prolactin can also influence the hair growth cycle. Hormonal imbalances, along with factors like chronic stress, poor dietary habits, lack of physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption can further accelerate hair loss.

The degree and pattern of hair thinning in men are most commonly classified using the Hamilton-Norwood scale, which includes seven stages of androgenetic alopecia – from mild recession of the hairline to nearly complete baldness. Although hair loss may begin as early as after puberty, it more frequently occurs in the 30s or 40s, and a later onset usually implies a better prognosis.

Progression varies individually – in some, it takes just a few years, while in others it may span decades. It often alternates between phases of rapid hair loss and resting phases, during which the condition temporarily stabilizes.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL

• PEELING

1.3 Dixidox de Luxe Peeling (200ML | 500ML): Apply the peeling product to dry or damp scalp and massage it in. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use once a week.

• SHAMPOO

3.1 Dixidox de Luxe Intense Shampoo (200ML | 500ML) & 2.1 Dixidox de Luxe Antidandruff Shampoo (200ML | 500ML):

Apply to hair and gently massage until foamy. Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse. Alternate the use of the two shampoos as recommended.

TREATMENT PHASES

 

• PHASE ONE | LOTION 9.4 Aminopyrrole + Melatonin: Apply 1/3 of the ampoule content to dry or damp scalp, preferably in the evening. Massage in and do not rinse. Use daily for 3 months.
• PHASE TWO | LOTION 3.4.3A Fresh Cells de Luxe Wondercell: Apply 1/3 of the ampoule content to dry or damp scalp, preferably in the evening. Massage in and do not rinse. Use daily for 3 months.
• PHASE THREE | LOTION 3.4.4 Capixyl + Placenta Shock de Luxe: Spray the scalp 6–8 times daily and gently massage in. Best used in the evening. Do not rinse. The minimum recommended period is three months.
• PHASE FOUR | 011 Vasogrotene GF Activator 50ml: Apply 2 ml of the lotion to dry or damp scalp and distribute with gentle massage. Use daily. Do not rinse. The minimum recommended period is three months.

  012 MHS Mesohair Solution: Apply once a week for 1 month, then once every 15 days for the following two months, and for maintenance, once every two months.

4.3 Dixidox de Luxe Keratin Treatment Mask:

Apply the mask to scalp and hair and massage gently. Comb the hair several times. Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
