Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss on specific areas of the scalp or other parts of the body, such as the eyebrows, eyelashes, or beard. The immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, interrupting the hair growth cycle and leading to hair shedding.

It manifests as completely smooth, round or oval patches of hairless skin. In more severe cases, it can progress to total hair loss on the scalp (alopecia totalis) or even the entire body (alopecia universalis).

There may be periods of hair loss followed by partial or complete regrowth, although relapses are common.

Alopecia areata can be hereditary and affects both children and adults, most often individuals under the age of 20. Severe stress is frequently cited as a potential trigger, although this is difficult to confirm with certainty. It is not uncommon for the condition to spontaneously halt or persist for months or even years.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL

• EXFOLIATING SCRUB

1.3 Dixidox de Luxe Peeling (200ML | 500ML): Apply the scrub to dry or damp scalp and massage gently. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use once a week.

• SHAMPOO

3.1 Dixidox de Luxe Intense Shampoo (200ML | 500ML) & 2.1 Dixidox de Luxe Antidandruff Shampoo (200ML | 500ML): Apply to hair, massage gently until it lathers. Leave on for several minutes, then rinse. Alternate the two shampoos for best results.

• ESSENTIAL OILS

3.4.5B Science-7 de Luxe Essential Oils: Apply approximately 15 drops directly to the scalp and gently massage to enhance absorption of the active ingredients. Do not rinse. Use every evening.

• LOTION

3.4.5A Science-7 de Luxe Lotion: Apply 2 to 3 pipettes of the product each morning to the affected areas. The minimum recommended duration of use is three months.

• CONTINUE WITH:

3.4.3A Fresh Cells de Luxe Wondercell Lotion: Add the ampoule fluid (concentrate) to the lotion bottle. Shake the mixture before use. Apply 2 ml of lotion to dry or damp scalp and distribute with gentle massage. Apply daily. Do not rinse. Minimum recommended treatment is 3 months or as advised by a specialist.
