Seborrhea is a disorder of the sebaceous glands resulting in excessive sebum production, causing the scalp and hair to become oily very quickly. Oily hair often appears shiny, clumped, and prone to collecting impurities.

Accumulated sebum undergoes oxidative processes that may lead to unpleasant odors. Additionally, excessive oiliness can accelerate hair loss by creating an unfavorable environment for healthy hair growth.

Common causes of seborrhea include:

• Hormonal imbalances
• Nervous system disorders (e.g., stress)
• Unbalanced diet
• Certain medications
• Aggressive shampoos that dry out the scalp
• Frequent hair touching, excessive brushing
• Environmental pollution

In some cases, seborrhea is associated with pityriasis (dandruff). The fungus Pityrosporum ovale, which naturally lives on the skin, uses sebum lipids as nutrients, breaking them down into free fatty acids that can irritate the skin and trigger increased epidermal cell turnover—worsening the condition.

Proper sebum balance and scalp care with suitable products are key to managing symptoms and maintaining healthy hair.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL

• EXFOLIATION

1.3 Dixidox de Luxe Peeling (200ML | 500ML): Apply to dry or damp scalp and massage gently. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use once a week.

• SHAMPOO

1.1 Dixidox de Luxe Antiseborrheic Shampoo (200ML | 500ML) and

5.1.1 Botox-like Hair Therapy de Luxe Shampoo (200ML | 500ML): Apply to the hair and massage gently until lathered. Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse. Alternating use of both shampoos is recommended.

• LOTION

2.4 Dixidox de Luxe Antidandruff Lotion (100ML | 200ML): Apply 2–4 ml to dry or damp scalp, massaging until fully absorbed. It is recommended not to wash the hair immediately after applying the lotion to allow active ingredients to remain on the scalp. Use 2–3 times per week after shampooing.

Apply to scalp and hair and massage gently. Comb through several times. Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Apply to scalp and hair and massage gently. Comb through several times. Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. Can be used up to 3 times per week for severely damaged hair.
